TESTIMONIALS                 BACK TO TOP OF PAGE

David and Debbie Dresden, Chicago, USA - May 2012
Daniel did an outstanding job in showing us Cape Town. He was even able to squeeze in a visit to Langa township which was a very memorable experience. Daniel tailors the tours to the client. He shows you what you want to see and does not have a set agenda which we really liked. He is also very flexible. On the Cape Town tour we were to visit the top of Table Mountain last. Due to high winds the cable car was closed, so he asked if we wanted to go early the next morning before our wine tour. He is very accommodating and overall just a nice person. We had a fantastic time and he made us feel very comfortable. We really enjoyed our visit to wine country and our visits to the wineries. Daniel was very knowledgeable of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and showed us a great time.

Laura Dalzell, Seatle, USA - Jan, 2012
Danie took us on a tour of the Boland Winelands. He is a great informative guide, very professional and friendly.

Hartmut Grommel, Hamburg, Germany - November 2011
Hello Danie, I just saw on your Facebook page the nice photos that you took during our fantastic Cape Agulhas tour and wanted to thank you again for this great experience, as well as also for the nice Winelands tour. You really were an excellent tour guide and a wonderful companion for me, during these two days! Actually, I went yesterday again to Stellenbosch for a day. I liked it so much and just wanted to spent some more time there. For now, I would like to wish you and your family very good weekend!  Vriendelike groete, Hartmut.

Barry and Moira Mallion, Owners: Tree Tops Guest House, Camps Bay, Cape Town - October 2011
We would like to thank Danie of Andante Tours most sincerely for his prompt and professional attention to our guests who have required his services.  It has been a pleasure dealing with him and we have found him to be 100% reliable, friendly and punctual at all times. Our guests have all remarked on their comfortable, relaxed and well priced trips and have enjoyed him sharing his local knowledge and tourist information with them.  We look forward to our continued association with him and his company.

Scott and Donney Sharp, Dundee, Scotland - July 2011.
We were spending the last three days of our South African holiday in Cape Town. We were just going to tour the sites on our own, but our guide on the Safari part of our holiday advised us to contact Danie and Linda de Villiers of Andante Tours. It was the best thing we could have done. Danie picked us up at our hotel each morning and the first day we toured Cape Town, including Table Mountain. Danie told us to tell him to stop any time we wanted to take photographs, which was often! The second day we toured the Cape Peninsula, and Cape Point. Danie even accompanied me on the climb to the lighthouse at the top of Cape Point! Then coming back towards Cape Town we came through fishing villages and the most spectacular scenery you can imagine. The third day we did the Wine Tour, including visits to Paarl and Stellenbosch. Again, stunning scenery as we passed through the mountains.

Two things make a good tour. One is a good tour guide with lots of local knowledge, and the other is a comfortable vehicle for travelling. Andante Tours has both! Danie is a most charming guy, very friendly with a great sense of humour, and his vehicle is comfort deluxe! Linda came with us on the Saturday and was great company.

If anyone has a few days to spend in Cape Town, and in a party of 6 or less, you won’t get better value and service than what you’ll get from Danie and Linda at Andante Tours. They will even meet you at the airport and arrange accommodation for your stay in Cape Town, so no need to rent a car.

Thank you, Danie and Linda, for making the last part of our holiday so memorable.

Andrew and Kaley Clarfield, Toronto, Canada - July 2011

The trip was one of the most special of our lives and our time in Stellenbosch was definitely one of the highlights.

For us, it was really special that you offered to take pictures for us. That was such a nice surprise and relief to not have to be burdened with that.

Arranging the one cellar tour for us was really nice. For us it was good to see that once, but not very important to see more than one, so you did really well. Hearing that you had taken the time to arrange that in advance (with the very little advance time you had) was really great. That type of attention to customer service makes a big difference.

From our experience (and Kaley has since had another wine-tasting tour - she's hooked!) it was clear that each wine-tasting place had a different style. Some were hands on, some were do-it-yourself. You were really good at reading our interests and helping to bridge the gap. So when a place was hands-on, you faded into the background. When a place was a bit hands-off, and we were looking for direction, you were around to jump in. That was important. It was equally important that you backed off when things were going well....as we didn't feel crowded and were able to have the experience ourselves, without you always there. That's a very tough balance, and we thought you managed it extremely well.

Another thing that was really nice was that we didn't feel rushed at any point in the day. You let us decide when we were done. I guess that is your motto: slow & leisurely!

Thanks again for everything and we wish you nothing but great success in the business.

Deanne, Duty Manager, Table Mountain Lodge - August 2011
